The discovery of an ancient pyramid buried under the Antarctic ice sends a team of scientists and adventurers to the frozen continent. Once there, curiosity turns to terror as two devastating alien races wage war, with the fate of humanity in the balance. Whoever wins...we lose.
This is an Alien Warrior hero head from the 2004 sci-ti film, Alien vs. Predator. The head was made specifically for the scenes toward the film's end when Alexa Woods (
Sanaa Lathan) and Scar became allies, and Scar makes a protective shield out of the decapitated head of the Alien Alexa killed, since its skin is the only kind of material that does not react to the potent acid that the Xenomorph have for blood. This particular piece have been screenmatched to the Alien head Scar initially cuts off of the body.
This hero head, contrary to others made of rubber, was meant to sustain close-ups at full detail and was created and finished at an higher level. The black and silver head features the instantly recognizable Xenomorph long shape and is crafted from fiberglass with an opening at the rear of the static, closed mouth. The mouth also has silver pointed teeth and a foam latex covering which extends to the top of the head's front. Additionally, the dome of the head is made of a smoky, clear plastic which allows the top of the head's unique skeletal structure to be seen underneath.
It has been perfectly restored by the magic hands of Tom Spina.
