An original costume design from the 1982 Arnold Schwarzenegger classic Conan The Barbarian. This visually stunning piece depicts designer John Bloomfield’s vision for the memorable 'Snake Orgy' scene inside Thulsa Doom's temple with writing cult members draped everywhere. As with many other examples of John's artwork, it has been created using a stimulating collage of magazine and paper clippings to make an impressively unique image, which of course gave the production some wonderful inspiration when constructing the wardrobe for the movie.

The large A2 sized page features both men and women scantily clad in furs, leather and their distinctive masks and hoods, all decorated in some fashion with a snake motif. This man and woman are dressed an a loosely fitting white robe with sashes, sandals, orange belt and bracelets, white cowled hood and the memorable serpent necklace. The sheet has the film and scene information written in pencil top right and has John Bloomfield's signature bottom left alongside “Madrid 1980”. It has been covered with a thin clear acetate to protect it, with pin holes in the corner through being displayed during production. A stunning piece of art from a memorable scene in the movie.
