A jacket from David Fincher’s 1992 sci-fi horror sequel, Alien 3.
After escaping LV-426, Ellen Ripley’s (Sigourney Weaver) escape pod crash lands on prison planet Fiorina 161. Ripley soon discovers that she has bought along an unwelcome visitor and must once again defeat a deadly xenomorph alien.
This jacket was worn by Ellen Ripley as she struggled to come to terms with the loss of her friends and the presence of an alien embryo within her.
Made of a brown cotton, this jacket features an oversized hood and sleeves with knitted ribbed cuffs. The jacket is made to appear as though it has two layers, with two extra pieces attached at the front under the main fabric. A stitched diamond pattern features on majority of the of the jacket and there are large metal eyelets for decoration down both front edges of the under-layer pieces.
The inside of the jacket features a Weyland-Yutani corporation label at the neck with the text ‘Ripley Double’ written on it since it was used in the movie and for promotional shots as well where it can be screen matched in both.
The jacket displays signs of intentional distress to suit the rugged conditions of Fiorina 161, with a missing eyelet (whch can be screenmatched) , picks in the ribbed collar and some white marks applied at the left wrist cuff. The jacket remains in a very good production-used condition. It has a Prop Store Of London COA.
