Call sheets, Storyboards, Crew lists, production schedules and scripts are some of the most common of collected film production materials. Many copies are often made of each making them a little easier to come by for the average collector. This is something much more unusual.

This is Sidney Lumet's personal copy of the original Production Budget Estimate (Picture Estimate) for his timeless classic Network starring Faye Dunaway, William Holden, Peter Finch and Robert Duvall.

There are over 20 pages covering every single possible cost in the production of the film from potted plants, snow, plane tickets, post-production costs to the salary of every cast and crew member.

It is dated 22nd December 1975 and is typed as being for Mr. Sidney Lumet on the front cover.

A film's budget is a critical part of the green light process as it is the basis of the financial commitment to make the movie and is a rare glimpse into what it takes to get a movie production started.

But first get up out of your chairs, open the window, stick your head out, and yell, and say it: "I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!"
