This is a mask and head wrap worn by one of The Immortals in Zack Snyder’s 2007 epic 300. This item can be seen toward the middle of the film when Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) sends his elite guard, the feared Immortals, to attack the Spartans.
Only 16 'Hero' masks were made for the production. The remaining vacuformed ones (stunts) were destroyed afterwards.
This is one of the 16 made of fiberglass with a shiny chrome finish. It has been sculpted to show defined cheekbones, a large nose, chin, and forehead. The mouth and eye openings have a black screen backing, effectively making the mask wearer appear as is the eyes and mouth are not present. The headwrap is made of black cloth and is long enough to wrap around the neck after the head has been covered. The mask and headwrap are on a flocked head display.
