A Gyptian arrow used in the 2007 movie adaptation of Philip Pullman’s classic fantasy story the Golden Compass. The Gyptians can be seen battling with their bows and arrows against the Samoyeds on their march to Bolvangar and at various other points throughout the movie. The practical piece has a shaft of real wood, tipped with real feather fletchings and nock, with painted rather than real 'strings' that would have attached them. There is no arrow-head, instead a slightly tapered tip which displays evidence of being shot on several occasions – the lack of piercing tip allowed for a much safer activity on set. It measures 81cm (32”) long and remains in very good production used condition. This item comes with a Prop Store COA,
