Raleigh Becket’s (Charlie Hunnam) Drivesuit Boots from Guillermo Del Toro’s 2013 mega monster movie Pacific Rim. In the film, a race of monsters, called ‘Kaiju,’ terrorize earth, so humans build a team of massive robots, called ‘Jaegers,’ to battle the monsters and save the world. Raleigh connected to the drive gear of his Jaeger, Gipsy Danger, by harnessing his boots into a mobile platform.
The boots are black sport sneakers (size 12). They have been encased in a urethane shell designed to look as though the wearer were already attached to the platforms inside the Jaeger. This shell is black, with silver detailing on the toe and heel. The right foot has a urethane piece that wraps around the ankle with the name “Charlie” written inside. The left foot is missing this piece. Both shoes have two long pieces of Velcro attached to the shoe that wraps around the ankle to secure the foot. Each shoe is also attached to a silver base that resembles the pedals of an elliptical machine; they are made of urethane crafted to look like gadgetry, with rivets and nozzles shaped from the mold. These boots feature some wear due to production use and storage, but are in overall good condition. This piece measures 18” x 10” x 8” (46 cm x 25 cm x 20 cm). Item size - 25.0" x 20.0" x 46.0" (63.5cm x 50.8cm x 116.84cm)
