These genuine vintage Hollywood stage lights (circa 1930s) are works of art that make a statement. The larger of the two lights (which, is a carbon arc light) has Universal Studio markings on it, suggesting it was used by the legendary filmmaker. Both lights have replaced electrical components, so these lights can be operated in the home or office. Aside from the internal electrical components, these lights are in 100% original condition with all bronze fittings and hardware intact.
To find two of these pieces in this condition is rare. Their substantial size makes an impact on everyone who views them unlike the cheap reproductions found at retailers like Restoration Hardware. Both lights have adjustable height and pivot, as well as adjustable bulb housings to focus light.
These grand lights were manufactured by the Mole-Richardson Company of Hollywood, CA. Mole is considered by many the staple of the motion picture and television lighting in the movie industry. There was Mole equipment on nearly every film and television set in Los Angeles and the tradition is being carried on my a third generation Mole family member.
Owner of these lights is S. Carrabba.
