This is Barney's (Neil Patrick Harris) screen used Sketchbook from Season 8, Episode 811. titled: “The Final Page Part 1” . In the episode Marshall (Jason Segel) calls "Jinx" on Barney when they utter the same phrase simultaneously, where the jinxed person can't speak unless someone in the group says their name. Future Ted explains the group takes the childish game very seriously; Barney had previously broken the jinx out of mockery, but later had been hit by a bus, causing everyone to follow the rules whenever they're jinxed. The group plans to relish the moment and have Barney not speak for quite some time, frustrating him to no end. Later, Barney tricks Ted into saying his name by showing him a wedding ring, breaking the jinx. Barney explains that he's serious and makes Ted promise not to tell anyone he plans to propose to Patrice. This is the Sketchbook that Barney uses to communicate with the group throughout the whole episode. Barney also can be seen with this sketchbook in promotional images of the eighth season of the TV-Series.
This sketchbook contains approximately 100 pages of drawing paper, 5 of which have episode specifics hand drawings. Two pages have a drawing of a knee, two pages have a farmhouse drawing and one page has "AAAAHHH!!" written on it. This item measures approximately 9 by 12 inches. This item was created by the prop department for use in production, is the only item of its kind and is in good condition. This set also included the pencil with which Barney wrote this sketchbook. The drawings made by hand and the calligraphy match on screen with the one used by Barney in every scene.
