Thanks to the wonders of genetic engineering, a group of soldiers killed during the Vietnam War are resurrected by the Defense Department 23 years later and turned into a team of indestructible, anti-terrorist fighting machines known as UniSol. But things begin to go haywire when two of the soldiers, Luc Deveraux (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and Scott (Dolph Lundgren), regain their memory. Realizing that he is a pawn in an unsavory government conspiracy, Luc defects from the unit, while Scott, a shell-shocked nutcase, remembers that he has a grudge against Luc left over from their 'Nam days and goes after him with a vengeance.
This camouflage vest was custom made by the designer Joseph A. Porro for use by Jean-Claude Van Damme as "Luc Deveraux" (aka GR44) in "Universal Soldier". The vest is distressed for filming and has "J.C." written on the manufacturer's tag. It has an identifiable unique camo pattern.
One of two used by JCVD being this the shot wound version used since the car lighter scene to the end of the gas station explosion when the GR44 trade his costume
with the gas jockey. Can be screenmatched in all these scenes.
This vest was also used in promotional photos, posters and magazine covers.
