An arena helmet used in the famous Battle of Carthage scene in Ridley Scott's multi Oscar winning epic Gladiator.
This helmet can be seen as Russell Crowe and his fellow Gladiators stride into the Coliseum for the first time, and they must choose their own 'protection'.
This helmet comes with many features: made from fibreglass with a resin spike on the top, has a metal-like finish, battle weathered, has real chain mail to protect the neck, black linned interior, leather straps, two thin ropes to secure the helmet to the head, plus two very identifiable 'holders' that would have originally held feather plumes which identify this style of helmet being worn by only two of the Gladiators in the battle.
Additionally, it's marked 'Pete White' on the inside, naming the former stuntman for Russell Crowe as Maximus.
The helmet stands at 30 cm tall and it's one of a kind.
