This ia a 1/5 scale (wingspan is almost 8 feet) Curtiss P-40 B Warhawk Fighter plane model used in the filming of Tora! Tora! Tora!. It was presented to the Curtiss Museum in 1982 by 20th Century Fox Studio executives.
As the model was in fair to poor condition, coupled with the lack of understanding the historical importance of film props over 30 years ago, it was restored and repainted in AVG "Flying Tigers" paint scheme.
Currently owned and on display at The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum, Hammondsport, NY
