This is an uncompleted / unused Ape mask made by legendary make-up artist Stuart Freeborn during production of 2001 : A Space Odyssey. It's interesting to note that Liz Moore (5th image), who later provided tremendous contributions to A Clockwork Orange and the first Star Wars film, was part of Stuart Freeborn's team on 2001.

Due to its age, the mask is in quite fragile condition.
Comes with a letter of authenticity signed by Mr Freeborn himself.

This is one of my holy grails, hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do !

NOTE : 2 years after I got that Ape mask, I have purchased by accident a photo signed by Stuart Freeborn (please see 4th image). It shows him at work on a 2001 Ape face similar to the one I own. The weird thing is that I have discovered after a few email exchanges with the previous owner of that photo that there's good chances he also was the previous owner of "my" Ape mask !!!
