This sketch features early top and side designs for the snowspeeders flown by Rebel pilots on Hoth. The sketch is rendered, signed, and marked "0006" in pencil, ink, and ink washing on vellum by Johnston, the art director of the miniature and optical effects unit. The number suggests it is one of the very first sketches Johnston drew for the film. |
