Xenomorph SFX Head
 

A xenomorph SFX head from the sci-fi action sequel Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.

This xenomorph alien head, with its signature ridged dome, was designed by Academy Award-winning special effects group Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. (ADI). It is made of fibreglass airbrushed black and silver, with a foam-rubber sleeve affixed for puppeteering the throat. Concealed inside the head are various electronic components which operate the creature's jaws.

While its biomechanical details and iconic shape hark back to the creature design from James Cameron's Aliens, this head features ridging unique to AVPR. It is fragile from use and age.
