James Hunt's (Chris Hemsworth) Fuji Race Bloody Gloves
 

A pair of racing gloves worn by James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) in the production of Ron Howard’s 2013 sports-drama, Rush. Based on a true story, the film follows racing icons Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) and James Hunt during their infamous 1976 Formula One season. As their rivalry on and off the track begins to take its toll, a near-fatal injury leaves Lauda fighting for the championship and Hunt in pole position to take the title.

These bloody gloves were worn by Hunt during the all-important final race in Japan after he cuts his hand on a broken gear lever as he battles against the harsh weather conditions in a bid to become world champion. Made by OMP racing clothing, the gloves are made from a combination of leather and fire resistant aramid fibre. They feature the OMP logo the back and wrist of each glove and are labelled as size Large. They have been distressed for use in the production with a small rip surrounded by fake blood on the left hand glove and black marks on both. Distressed for use in production, the gloves remain in very good production-used condition.
