The Stunt knife handle used by Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) to wound Maximus (Russell Crowe) before their final battle at the very end of the Ridley Scott Oscar winning classic Gladiator.
The blade is sadly not with the handle but where it was attached is visible, and the distinctive swirling style of dagger is seen very clearly at that particular point in the film. The handle is made from cast resin painted metallic gold, it is a beautiful mold with a few signs of wear on the paint work revealing the white resin beneath, The handle measure approximately 5,5 cm (6”).
