Revised First Draft Script
 

An original production used revised first draft script from the Coen Brother's The Hudsucker Proxy starring Tim Robbins, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Paul Newman. It os on white paper with tan cover pages and dated 8th May 1992. The front cover does not credit Sam Raimi but he is credited on the title page. The Coen brothers first met Sam Raimi when Joel Coen worked as an assistant editor on Raimi's The Evil Dead (1981). Together, they began writing the script for The Hudsucker Proxy in 1981,[3] and continued during the filming of Crimewave (1985),[4] and post-production on Blood Simple (1985), in which Joel and Ethan Coen shared a house with Raimi.

The script is very close to the final film with a couple of additional scenes that never made it as well as some missing scenes from the film that were written later. Much of the dialog is the same and where it is it is identical word for word which implies the Coen's were sticklers at keeping to the script. The descriptions of each scene are incredibly detailed. Both the opening and ending show the most deviation from the finished picture.
