PROPbay.com - "Purbha" Hero FX Dagger

This stabbing dagger was used on screen and belonged to the Tulka (Brady Tsurutani). It is later stolen by Khan (John Lone) and is used in an attempt to kill Lamont Cranston aka The Shadow (Alec Baldwin). Its highly detailed handle is made of resin and features a demon head that is aged and painted gold and bronze. The aluminum blade has three sides with a retracting lower portion. This is the one iconic prop from the film and is very recognizable. [SU]

Screen-matching: The dagger is used for two scenes. In the very beginning when it stabs Cranston in the leg and later in the film, when Khan sends it to attack the Shadow and is after that stabbed himself. The FX dagger can be clearly seen in the hand of Khan when he removes it from his body and is obviously used when it is seen actually stabbing The Shadow, with blood to disguise the retracting blade. Damned difficult to catch a still of it, but the rust stains on the blade match the prop, even if if was cleaned afterwards.
