A visit to the Warner Bros. Studios
Last week we spent a few hours touring the Warner Bros. Studios including set and stage visits, prop area visits (limited), car exhibit and of course, the Warner Museum!
From the prop/wardrobe point of view, the most stunning stuff on display was obviously at the Museum, last stop and pretty amazing stuff. Unfortunately no pics were allowed. We had the luck to spot and even touch... - The complete hero Leonidas, Queen Gorgo and Immortal outfits from 300 - The complete hero Nathan Algren Samurai Outfit from The Last Samurai - Complete hero sets for Neo, Trinity, Morpheus and the Agents from The Matrix - The "bug" extractor and bug "pills" from The Matrix - Complete hero sets for Friends guys (Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Chaendler, Joey and Ross) - FX LED suit from Watchmen - Complete Rorsach suit from Watchmen - Complete hero outfit of Will Smith in I Am Legend - An AMAZING, BIG, ENORMOUS Corpse Bride diorama with the two main characters - Other misc props, wardrobe and pieces, like Bruce Lee pants and letters sent to one of the Bros., misc. production Items,etc. That was for FIRST FLOOR alone! Second floor is flooded with TONS of Harry Potter outfits and props, including candies, frozen Hermione, signed books, bus bed, etc. We also toured the live stages for the Big Bang Theory and The Mentalist (awesome stuff!) and pictured Friends' Central Perk (the only stage rebuilt in the Props Dept. Area remaining from the show). They also tour you the set. dec. Department (we truly missed touring the actual PROPS department!) where you can see literaly billions of different lights, lamps and set dec pieces... And obviously the 3 main "fake" streets and fake "jungle/woods" which have been used in tons of films and shows including Spider-man 2, The Mask, The Last Samurai, Sex and the City (yes, other companies also hire WB spaces  ), Jurassic Park, Million Dollar Baby, etc.Really a nice insight of the real deal from another point of view. There was also a very nice exhibit of movie vehicles, all of them pictured for your viewing pleasure! Feel free to ask any questions about the pics. We'll do our best to answer! Cheers! |

Arrival...
    Main Hall...                                 Tour begins after a small projection in a specially fitted "home theater" room. 4 groups of around 12 people each fit in here. First stop, Main St.  This is Jim Carrey's apt. on THE MASK:  This is where tanks were deployed to fight the menace in CLOVERFIELD:  Last LMFAO video was recorded here...

Typical NY alley...
 The infamous stair for the infamous inverted kiss of MJ to Spider-man in Spider-man 2...  These doors can be seen when Tom Cruise as Nathan Algren exits the cavalry shooting show at the beginning of the movie...  ...they placed a BIG chroma over the rest of the studios to fit late century San Francisco streets in it...  Building seen on Sex and the City...  ...stairs where Carrie Bradshaw sits (Sex and the City)...  Some "in the jungle" footage has been shot here!   The infamous T-rex pursuing the jeep in JP1 was shot in this alley!   Jason's House!  Million Dollar Baby coffee place...   The Muppets or Police Academy was shot using this building.  Nice animatronics! hehe (jokin', it was the real deal hehe)  A view from "Growing Pains" home...    Oldest "store" in the Studios...  Fire Dept. to the left...  A recreation of the infamous external railways of Chicago...    Actual Movie Theater were WB premieres the movies for the cast and crew...  This has been the Town Hall and Court of many productions...  Leo's Hotel in Blade Runner...   "Eraser" embassy-like offices... (starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Vanessa Williams)...   Different Stages for different productions... and their dates!    A fake subway station...  Movie vehicles (and a few props too)... "GET SMART" starring Steve Carrell...    The Great Gran Torino!

 The Hangover car (1 of 4 used)  The Matrix Lincoln!    Scooobey!   Wonkas...   Trinitys...  Can't remember this one right now... anyone?  Austin Powers...   And loads of Batman!!                   Some Potter...   Heading to the real deal! (sounded promising!)  Matrix Reloaded set dec.  Lots of US gov Seals...  Loving Inception samurais!

Inception's Leo diCaprio chair...
 Some "Sex and the City" set dec.  Mars Attacks! globes...  Literally trillions of lamps everywhere!   The most famous Cafe on TV's history...       Main entrance...   Actual Firefighters place where the water tower used to be...  Friends STAGE...    Fake subway again...  ...and the emblematic Water Tower, which an earthquake almost collapsed and they decided to move it a bit further to the north when refurbishing it...     T H E E N D |
